Poem of the day : the drawing

Poem of the day : the drawing

I like to write short texts. That is why poetry suits me so well. My poems reflect my daily life like little snapshots of our family routines.

Today I wish to share with you a poem that was inspired by a famous French poet, Guillaume Apollinaire, and my youngest daughter. At that time, she was learning Aquarelliste (Alcools), a rather difficult poem, but it suits her very well because, as many children of her age, she likes very much drawing and painting.

Puis reprends l’action.

Le chef d’œuvre prend forme.
Tu t’actives pour finir
Ton cheval énorme,
Tellement vrai qu’on l’entend hennir.

Fier comme Artaban
Tu m’amènes à deux mains
« Le dessin pour maman »
Et puis me donnes un câlin.
